Can I use the Delete State Return option under the File tab on a specific return or will that remove that state program from all my returns?

I am doing my return that needs an AL state return and also a return for my child that does not need to file with AL, but the program adds an AL return for my child.

You can use it on a specific return. 

The Delete State Return option will only delete the state return for the tax return you are working on.
