You can complete a tax return such as you describe in TurboTax online Deluxe. The Deluxe program this year (2016) will handle simple Form 1099-MISC (self-employment) income, just as long as you don't have any expenses to also enter that would reduce the otherwise taxable $1,000 amount of income. And Deluxe online will, of course, handle W-2s for wage income. While the Free File version will accept W-2 income, it will not process Form 1099 issues.
That said, Deluxe may be appropriate for you, and is the least expensive "paid" version of the program we have. You would only need the TurboTax for Self-Employment version of the software if you have business expenses to deduct, and / or assets to depreciate. Otherwise, Deluxe should do for straightforward self-employment (1099-MISC) income.
