I need to change a number in a Schedule C (gross receipts not including 1099-MISC) but can't do it; the form highlights the number but won't change it.

This is software-related, not substantive.  I just need to make a change to a number.

Navigate back to the section:

• Type sch c in the 'find' box in upper right corner
• Select the 'jump to sch c' link

Select 'edit' on your next to your business. Then select 'update' on your Business Income section, then General Income to edit amounts.

You can also enter the number directly on line 1a of the schedule C in the Forms mode if you know what the final number should read.
