Yes, you can e-file your tax return with the adoption credit. The adoption credit is reported on Form 8839 and TurboTax will generate the form automatically according to your answers to the questions in the program.

Please follow the steps below to enter the adoption credit information in TurboTax Online.

• Sign into your Online account

• Click the orange button that says "Take me to my return."

• Go to Federal Taxes at the top of the page.

• Then go to Deductions & Credits.

• Scroll down to You and Your Family and click "Show more" (if applicable).

• Click Start next to Adoption Credit and then follow the onscreen instructions and complete the questions and TurboTax will file Form 8839 for you along with your tax return.
