Maybe you are waiting for some forms.  Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.

Many federal and state forms are not yet available.  Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

Tax form availability tool,

No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29.   And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.

Another thing to check—make sure the address on your tax return and the address on your method of payment match each other.

If you are e-filing the tax return you do not sign the tax return.  You enter the 2022 AGI which is used for your electronic signature.

If you are going to print and mail your tax return you would sign the Form 1040 on page 2 before mailing.

Verify that the billing address on your credit/debit card is the same address that is on your tax return.

Click on Review to see if your tax returns has forms and/or schedules that have not yet been finalized in TurboTax and the date they will be available.

If your return does have forms and/or schedules which have not been finalized then you will not be able to pay for or e-file the tax return.
