With the new tax laws, is a move because of disability still tax deductible?
We had to move because of my wife's total disability with Multiple Sclerosis . After a long bout with her inability to walk, the time came when she was just unable to fight with the steps up to a second floor bedroom any longer. There was no way to add medical equipment to get her up the stairs so it became necessary to move into a one floor home with a wheel chair accessible shower. I was wondering if any of the moving expense such as the truck rental and/or movers was tax deductible.

Moving expenses, except for US military change of station, are not deductible on a federal tax return due to the tax code changes for tax year 2018 thru 2025.
