Wisconsin Capital gains

In the Turbotax "Easy Step" directions. A question is asked in the Capital Gains section to "Enter the amount of Capital Gains Distribution that is to be included for Wisconsin."  Why would that number be different than the number listed for the Federal amount?

Wisconsin Capital gains

Two possibilities:

1. Nonresident or part year -adjustment

2. Resident with WI business related gains. See Capital gains deferral and exclusion.
