There is no fee for filing an extension in TurboTax.

No fee by Turbo Tax.

There is a NEW deadline to meet.

Most are August 15 or October 15. Very rare for other dates.  IRS penalties if you file after deadline

Also have to have had enough paid to fully cover your taxes.  If you have to guess, guess high to avoid those pesky late fees.

There is no fee to file an extension.  File an extension by April 18, 2022, and have until October 17, 2022, to finish your taxes.   It is an extension to file - not an extension to pay your taxes; the bill is still due by 04/18/22 even if you file the extension.
