Will I get a response to a question asked by replying to a post string?

I was reading a question and all of the responses to a topic very similar to my situation. So, I replied to the last post with my question including my specifics. Will I get a response this way or do I need to initiate a new question in order for experts to see and respond to my question?

You may get a response, but you are better off starting a new thread (i.e., initiating a new question).
