Why was my DD to my bank rejected and SBTPG is mailing me a Cashier's check?

I had a DDD on Where's my refund for 2/26/2020. I haven't received my refund as of today 2/29/2020 so I called SBTPG yesterday and they told me my bank (PNC) rejected the DD and told me to call SBTPG back and ask for a reason why I'm being mailed a check. I got no reason, I just got the run-around from them. This makes no sense because I received my state refund on 2/10/2020 in my bank account, so I didn't enter my routing and account numbers wrong. Also, my bank told me they didn't receive any direct deposits for me. Please someone explain why this happened!

Nobody here has access to that.    TurboTax is not a bank so all banking transactions are through SBTPC, so only they (or your bank) can answer.   The usual reasons are an incorrect account (or routing) number or the name on the bank account did not match the name on the refund so the bank refused it.

@Blumj1019  Same thing said my account number was missing a Digit so my bank returned it and now I’m waiting on paper check to come in mail if u check their reviews they’ve been pulling this scam for YEARS and continue to get away with it SBTPG MUST BE STOPPED I started a post in here with that title share your experience with this criminal bank racket make enough noise maybe somebody will listen and realize the issues with these people are corrupt considering it’s our money they’re playing with

@Keeponpush1n - Why in the world do you even pay your TurboTax fees from your refund?   That is essentially a very expensive loan.   I understand why the charge is high, because high risk loans are expensive and there is no guarantee that they will ever collect if the refund is garnished or reduced by the IRS.

If you do not have a credit card to pay with (the cheapest way to pay) then a prepaid credit card is only a fraction of the cost.

Were you also notified you will be receiving a paper check? If so, this only happens when there was an error with your direct deposit routing or account number. Please refer to the article below for more details.
