Why was I charged more to file my returns in March instead of February?

That is a good question. I was just thinking the same thing. Nor am I happy with the reality of the answer. This needs some discussion!

How do I see details of the tax computation in my return? I.e., how the amount on Line 16 of 1040 form is calculated? Why am I not given that information with my return?
