Why was I charged $99.98 to file my taxes when I chose the $39.00 option? I expect a refund of the overcharge.

Early bird discounts ended after February 28, so if you did not pay before that, fees went up effective March 1.  You are posting from Deluxe, and if you prepared a state return there is a fee of $39.99 to prepare your state return.   Or -- if you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, the refund processing fee is $39.99.
