You are asking from TT Online (web), which has its own pricing structure. How did you end up in it?
But, when using TT Desktop (CD/download), there is an extra charge to efile State.
Did you get the program installed on your computer?
I see people all the time that have bought the CD/Download Desktop Software but then somehow ended up using the Online version and didn't know it. If that happened to you, you can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info. Post back if you need to know how to move it to your Desktop program.
To continue in the desktop version see this…….
After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
It depends. Did you file with the software or did you log into a online version of Turbo Tax? if you are using an online version, this is different from the software you bought. Also you may be charged an efile fee for your state return. Could be any number of things.
