Why is TT showing my standard deduction, married filing jointly, as 32,300 rather than 29,200.

If you and your spouse were both born before January 2, 1060, then you get an additional $1550 per person added to the standard deduction for your filing status.

Why is TT showing my standard deduction, married filing jointly, as 32,300 rather than 29,200.

If you and your spouse were both born before January 2, 1060, then you get an additional $1550 per person added to the standard deduction for your filing status.

Had NO IDEA about the 1550 per person born prior to 1960.  So grateful!
