Why is my ohio state return marked unknown? How can this be resubmitted?

2017?  Most state forms are not finalized.

2016--not sure why it shows unknown as the status, then accepted. Then received notice just now from the state saying they never received it.

If you paid tax due to OH do you have your bank/credit card records as proof?

Marked unknown exactly where? On the OH tax website?

Marked unknown on the status in the turbotax tracker timeline, then second statement underneath is "status changed to accepted". Realized recently when I got a notice from the state that they didn't receive anything. Anyone know why Turbotax wouldn't have notified me otherwise? I thought I had email notice that both were accepted.

 If you have received notice from the dept of Taxation (DoT), that they never got your return, you need to mail them a copy. It can NOT be resubmitted electronically, from TurboTax. You may be able to "i-file" from the DoT web site, but that involves manual input. The TurboTax files cannot be submitted at the DoT site. You should just mail it.

Almost every tax return involves either a tax payment or a refund. If you didn't get a refund or if DoT didn't process your payment, you didn't file.

Do you know how I can download and print the file to mail? I tried downloading, but it comes out as a .tax file. Is there any help turbo tax can give to reconcile the late fees? Why wouldn't I be alerted to do this sooner?
