It was recently updated by the IRS and is now published for public use...but not on Turbotax??? Turbotax said it would be available on the 18th, now it's not until the 25th!
I need to get my taxes in ASAP as my income dropped in 2020 from 2019. It will have a negative impact on my stimulus payment if I can't get my taxes filed soon.

It's because Turbo Tax is working diligently to ensure the form is correctly worded, able to perform the calculations correctly, and correctly updated within IRS guidelines.
Why does the date keep changing?
This delay is being caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and year end tax revisions.
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 was signed into law on December 27, 2020. The legislation includes $900 billion for various COVID-19 relief programs, government funding of $1.4 trillion and many, many tax provision changes.
IRS Form 4684 is used to report gains and losses from casualties and thefts.
Three types of casualty losses can be reported:
All three types of losses refer to federally declared disasters, but the requirements for each loss vary.
Forms availability says that the form will be available on March 4.
do we know when this form will be ready yet
You can view our forms availability here. That form is currently showing it will be ready on March 4, 2021, however that date is subject to change.
I used to use HR Block and everything was so smooth and on time, easy to do! This year I have bought Turbo Tax and it is a disaster: it said 5 free efiles and online specialist help is available, but it charged my son $40 to file it! I cannot find any help from any experts here and on top of it, I cannot submit it because 4684 is not available, and it is 3/3/21!!!
According to the IRS web site, this form is still not ready for e-filing. Please note that the PDF version of this form is not the updated 2020 tax year specifically coded e-file form.
