I know exactly what my extensions are and where to find that information which is why TT is responsible to convey what the IRS says to those in the areas given the extension instead of contradicting or not at least pointing to those updates posted by the IRS via one of their updates. No need to keep responding because you keep talking around this point. TT is being lazy in this instance, full stop.
Ok ... even in my private practice the IRS has recently been sending back "overpayments" of estimated underpayment penalties for absolutely no logical reason other than we are in FL and there was forgiveness for Hurricane Ian statewide even if the taxpayer was not in an affected area. We just take it as a win and try not to look too close to that horse's mouth.
I agree, Why doesn't TurboTax take this in to consideration for the personalized service they say they are providing by acknowledging returns that have a different due date indicated by the IRS ???
