Why does TurboTax focus so much on your tax refund instead of how much taxes you paid.This year they introduced a “tax recap”I feel like it should tell you total tax paid

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,
SUCH AS, understanding exactly how much tax you are paying.
AND, to find your AGI next year.

I understand how to see how much taxes I’ve paid. My point or feedback I was trying to make is that turbo tax should put more focus on informing people how much they pay in taxes opposed to focusing SO much on how much you overpaid (refund). 99% of taxpayers can tell you how much they overpaid (their refund amount), but I’d bet less than 20% of them could tell you how much they actually paid in taxes.

TurboTax concentrates on your refund because they want you to pay their fees out of your refund.
