I have already contacted the customer service number for Green Dot, they could not tell me what was wrong or when it would be fixed.
My return was accepted by the IRS, the $2,000 advance is in the account.
Every time I try to use the temporary card assigned that you are told can be used for online purchases it does not work. It does not work with any merchants across multiple platforms.
What is the point of getting an advance within 1 hour* of IRS acceptance if you cannot access the money? Why should I have to wait 5-10 business days?! That is not an advance at all and will take the same amount of time if I just waited for the IRS to deposit in to my bank account.
This is shady, scammy, and unethical.
If this is not promptly resolved I will never use Turbo Tax again, I have used it for many years, and use it to file my family members for them as well. This is absurd.
I am having the same issue. When I called the customer service phone number I was told just to be patient. It will work in an hour or so. It's been 3 hours since that call. Nothing.
Same here. Phone support has had me on hold for over 25 minutes each time i called today. And each time they said to wait an hour. Its been 7 hours since my first call and they have given me no answers
I agree, if TurboTax doesn’t at least give us some sort of real update on what the issue is that so many people are having with the temp cards I’ll go somewhere else next year.
I am still having trouble with my temp card. I called and they said that there specialist were on it. But they still don't know how long it is going to be. This is ridiculous. This is my first time using turbo tax and other than the price I am very unsatisfied. Can they just give us some solid answers please.
I called again and now they told me it is expected to be resolved at 12am.
I doubt this.
They told me I am not expected to get my physical card until 02/04/2020. So, a full week.
which means this advance is an absolute waste.
I am completely disappointed and dissatisfied.

Called them and they said they issued me a new temporary card and they were expedited it should be here in the next 24 hours they said that’s what everybody has to do!! So please hurry so you guys can get your advances this week
What number did you call? I called yesterday and got told to be patient and an apology for the inconvenience, but this is absurd. I have been using TT for 7 years, and this is the first time I have been really disappointed with the service.
Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ regarding your Refund Advance temporary card.
If you received a Refund Advance last year, you’ll need to create a new account to see your Refund Advance funds for this year. You won’t see the funds if you log in with the account you made last year.
Why cant they just tell me what my new card number is or just email it to me that would be better why do I have to wait another 24 hours some Refund advance so it will be working when I get my actual refund from the IRS. Have a friend who did Jackson Hewitt and he was able to use his right away.

THIS IS MISLEADING INFORMATION! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE ! I HAVE SIGNED UP PERSONALLY & THE TEMPORARY DEBIT CARD DOES NOT WORK! I HAVE TRIED CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IT IS HORRIBLE! THE WAIT TIME IS RIDICULOUS, THE REPRESENTATIVES HANG UP ON YOU , AND NONE OF THE SUPERVISORS ARE AVAILABLE.
