Why does the its.gov site say I can file for free them when I log in Turdo Tax tries to charge me?

You can file for free using the Turbo Tax Free Edition if you have a simple return. However, depending on your tax situation, you may need to use an upgraded program such as Turbo Tax Deluxe which it seems that you are currently using.
