Why does the error check in TurboTax Business 2022 not save correcting entries - either through the step-by-step or forms options? Anyone else experience this?

The two items it will not save are the Business Code (511190) and "No Entry" option for the S Corporation Information Worksheet - SH Basis Wks Boxes must be entered.

If you do not want the basis calculation, check the "No" box as shown in the screenshot below.
