Why does my wife owe for taxes

My wife and I file jointly. When i add her w2 we owe money not sure why

Two possible reasons:

She was underwithheld, and/or
Your combined incomes forced you into a higher tax bracket.

PS - Your wife doesn't owe taxes, the two of you do. If you had entered her income first, then yours, it would have looked like it was you that owed taxes.
