Why does my ex wife's name keep coming up in my Turbo Tax questions?

If you are using the same TurboTax account as you did when you were married, the program will pull information from your previous income tax return.

Just change your filing status from married to single and TurboTax will delete the Personal Information about your ex-wife.

1. Click on the Personal Info tab.
2. On the Personal info summary, click Edit next to marital status.
3. On the next screen, Let's confirm your marital status, click on the Single radio button and click Continue.
4. TurboTax will remove your ex-wife's personal information.

If her W-2 information transferred from last year, you can delete it using these steps:

1. Click on Federal Taxes > Wages & Income 
2. Under Wages and Salaries, click on the Start/Revisit box.
3. You will see the screen, Here's your W-2 info.
4. Click on the "trashcan" icon next to her information.
