This has been an ongoing issue, particularly with respect to the Nort Carolina state return.

If forms that are needed for your return to be processed by the IRS are not yet ready, you will not be able to transmit it. Please check this IRS forms availability table to make sure all the forms you need are available to be e-filed. Here is the forms availability table state by state.
