Why did my return drop when I switched my 1099-Misc income from "other income" to Schedule C? I only had to pay $560 taxes on $3890 earned, but my refund dropped 3x that.

Unfortunately, when you switched from other income to Schedule C, your earned income became subject to self employment taxes as well as income taxes.
