Why can’t I type my info into turbo tax. Key board is frozen and it’s showing in race mode

Go up to the race mode selection and Turn It Off.  That thing is a pain in the butttt.  Preparing and Filing taxes is not a race, and needs to be done over a couple weeks, carefully.

Still doesn't work, log out and try a different browser.

You can toggle off “race mode”.  That may help with your issue.

To get your refund meter to show, at the top of your screen Click < or > to get the refund monitor to appear.  

You can also try clearing your cache and cookies sometimes that helps improve efficiency.

A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).

Apple's official support site doesn't appear to contain instructions for clearing the cache in Safari. Your best bet is to search the Internet for clear Safari cache or similar search terms.
