I have completed and paid, but form 8606 is still not available for e-filing. Why can't I submit my return electronically and then send in the form 8606 separately? I just don't feel like this form should be holding me up from e-filing. Especially when my non-traditional IRA contribution was ONLY $13 (I had a little left in a 401k and stupidly decided to roll it into that instead of just withdrawing it).

Sadly what you want to do is not possible ... the 1099-R distribution is what is causing the 8606 to populate ... the only way to file without it is to remove the 1099-R form and amend later to add it back with the 8606 it produces.
