Why am I unable to claim head of household? I’m taking care of my fiancé and a family friend. They have both lived with me the whole year, and I support them both.

They both have zero income. My fiancé is also disabled.

Sorry--neither a fiance or friend can be qualified dependents for Head of Household filing status.  Neither one of them is related to you---which is one of the requirements for a qualified dependent for HOH.

Am I Head of Household?

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

If they lived with you the whole year, and had less than $4700 of income, you can get the $500 credit for other dependents for them.
