If you are receiving Social Security disability payments reported on a SSA-1099 and that is your only income for 2024 then you do not need to file a 2024 tax return.
As DoninGA mentions above, if you have no other income than your SSDI payments are not taxable. If you receive SSDI and have other income, some of it may be taxable.
If you have no other income as described, you don't have to file a tax return.
The underpayment of tax penalty is not assessed by TurboTax it is assessed by the IRS. It happens when you didn't pay enough tax throughout the year, either through withholding or by making estimated tax payments, you may have to pay a penalty for underpayment of estimated tax.
