Why am I being charged to efile my federal return when I thought that was included in the purchase price?

Using the TurboTax online editions there is not an e-file charge for either a federal or state tax return.  The TurboTax account fees are for the use of the software to assist in completing a tax return.  The account fees are the same whether a tax return is e-filed or printed for mailing.

Or...did you buy the "Desktop" software...but then went to the "Online" system to prepare your taxes?

Those are two entirely different software systems.
