Why am I being a fraud victim. TurboTax wont refund my money to my bank. Why?

TI paid for TurboTax services that said I was GUARANTEED honest service. I was told (on my account) that I was getting a huge refund, and I ended up owing the IRS. How do I get a refund for their dishonest service?

What makes you sure you are a victim of fraud?   Is it also possible that you made an error on your tax return that resulted in a reduced refund or more tax owed?  What does the IRS say about the change to your refund?

TurboTax provides do-it-yourself tax software.  TurboTax guarantees the calculations done by its software.   The information entered into that software is data entered by you, the user.   TurboTax cannot and does not check that information against any outside sources, so TT cannot know if you entered your information completely or correctly.   It is up to you to enter all of your information correctly and completely, and to check your tax return before you file it.  If you forget to enter some income, or enter it incorrectly, enter it in the wrong place, etc. then you may end up owing additional tax to the IRS and/or state.  TurboTax does not pay the additional tax you owe.   If TurboTax’s calculations were incorrect, and you owe penalties and/or interest, then TT will pay the penalties and interest.  The tax due is always owed by you, and must be paid by you.

If you need to enter a claim for the accuracy guarantee:

Because the IRS had me to redo what TurboTax did. Their calculations were way off. But they still charged me full price! Took it out of my bank which caused me to overdraft, and there went more money I lost. This is wrong! I will never use nor recommend TurboTax ever again!

You have not told us what the IRS changed or wanted you to change, nor have you mentioned what calculations were "off"----and again, as explained earlier----this is do-it-yourself software----with calculations based on what is entered by the user.   Did you leave out any income when you prepared the return?  Or maybe enter something in the wrong place?   Did you have any typos or missing decimal points, or missing zeros anywhere?
