If you receive Social Security benefits you are not required to file a tax return for a stimulus payment if you normally would not file a tax return based only on your benefits.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service today announced that Social Security beneficiaries who are not typically required to file tax returns will not need to file an abbreviated tax return to receive an Economic Impact Payment. Instead, payments will be automatically deposited into their bank accounts.

Look at Line 7 on Form 1040. If you had any income other than SSDI you should have AGI greater than $1. I thought Social Security recipients would get the rebate even if they didn't file a tax return. Doesn't that apply to SSDI recipients as well?

If you receive Social Security Disability (SSDI) Income then you are eligible for stimulus funds as described above.
