I still have not received my refund. Anyone else have delays who were initially rejected because of this tt error?
I just updated. On transcript for 3/29
Still waiting too. No approval. Still being processed.
What does this mean? Your refund is approved and will be deposited on 3/29??
Yes
That’s great for you! Were you updated on TurboTax or at irs.gov?
Irs
If you received that information from Refunds | Internal Revenue Service then it means your refund has been approved and will be deposited on 3/29. Please keep in mind that it may take your bank up to 5 business days to deposit the money into your account.
The IRS states there is a delay in my refund. Anyone else have this issue?
I’m using the CD version of TurboTax Deluxe. After the update today I still get this message: “You’ll need to revisit this area. Unfortunately, IRS instruction related to 2021 and 2022 disaster distributions weren’t ready in time for us to include them in this release. Please revisit this area later.”
We have 20 days left!!! before the deadline. Where’s the fix? I’m filing by mail only, anyway.
Yes. There are certain types of returns that are being delayed by the IRS intentionally. Some returns include returns with Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit and others.
Are you referring to the form 8915-F? That form is currently available for print and e-file.
If you have other questions or concerns, please reply to this thread.
@concerned customer
Got the same message. Has to do with that 8915 f form!!!!
Are you reporting the third year of a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution?
If you are reporting the third year of a Qualified Disaster Distribution, you will report 1/3 of the 2020 distribution. Follow these steps to the screen Did You Take a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution:

To be able to electronically file, there is a workaround by @DanaB27 concerning checking the box If this was a Coronavirus-related distribution reported in 2020, check here at the screen Did you take a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution?
Well…I figured out for myself that since I opened and imported the 2021 tax return info (instead of starting over with a new file) the first step I needed to do after clicking on the Retirement plans and Social Security income section is to DELETE the prefilled info about the 401k from 2021. After that, I went through the steps provided by the experts here. Then “error” message didn’t appear again, and I was able to finish the return for mailing.
Phew! I’m sure glad I didn’t even bother to open the CD package until the the last week of March, or I would’ve been very frustrated with this year’s TurboTax glitch.
Now I’m just worried if it did the maths correctly.
Crossing my fingers…:/
I have to give credit, where credit is due. After being entangled in the 8915 form rejection, then, using the suggested fixes that got my return accepted. I am now happy to say that it was approved by the IRS and direct deposited today! I hope this is the case with others since I have seen the process work …
