Where is the form 8915-f for 2023 filing of 2022 taxes?

Is there an official location or avenue of information where Turbotax releases information concerning this type of situation? Someone Somewhere has to be controlling the forms availability listing and could give us a little more than, "oops, now the date has been pushed back again".

it has been updated again. it shows it may have been a typo. and now it claims we can file under one date!

This is insane.  Another week delay?  The form is already available from the IRS.  I'd be better off to print out my forms, manually do this one and mail it.  Sadly Turbo Tax already has been paid for....

Here is what Intuit gave me in regards to form availability explanation. Seemingly has something to do with Watermark removal and instructions becoming finalized by the IRS.

This is the first I have seen that listing. Maybe that listing would indicate some progress before the " Forms ready" listing... even though it's at a snails pace.

This is very frustrating to continue to have to wait.  I can understand last year in that they had to make some changes from the initial 2020 form.  It is my understanding that the 2022 form 8915-F is essentially the same as the 2021 form 8915-E and we would not be required to wait so long to e-file with turbotax this year.  That was the reasoning for using turbotax this year.  Had I known this, I would have purchased a different product.  Very disappointed in turbotax again this year.

Even though the form is not yet available, is the distribution already calculated in the income for this year? In other words, is what I owe accurate today or will the 2020 distribution be added after the form becomes available?

The system can't correctly calculate what you owe until that form is available.  So you will have to wait until it is to see your final number.

This is absolutely ridiculous TurboTax…. You’re telling people they have to wait for the form because the IRS hasn’t released it …. But the IRS Infact has released the form and is available to print right now…. So please enlighten me as to why I should stay with TurboTax and wait another week or so to file when I can file now through someone else? Also where is my check for the false advertisement TurboTax was supposed to pay back …. I’ve yet to receive anything.

once again turbotax lies and is the ONLY software not able to file 8915-f.   I just checked the latest update and NOW turboax is listing a 3/2/23 date.  Completely ridiculous and will be my last year using this useless software when i can file with anyone else already.  you just lost a customer of more than 15 years

it now says 3/2 despite being release by the irs and available with other software companies.  last time i put up with the bs from turbotax

Looks like it been pushed back from 2/16 to 2/23. Very frustrating…

This is terrible customer service and I've been with Turbo Tax for over 10 years.  I've prepaid and am only waiting on this form. I think I'm going to switch to another company anyway and try to get a refund.
