The IRS is working with greatly reduced number of people.  That may be the reason for the delay.  Or there may be problems with your return.  You need to contact the IRS and see what the holdup is and whether you need to do something to make it go quicker.

So you efiled your return on 1/29/2025?    If so, at the Tax Home inside TurboTax what is the wording for the status of your efiled return?    Are you saying your Tax Home actually is still using the word "pending" as the efile status for a return filed on 1/29/2025; i.e., that the Tax Home efile status never even changed to accepted or rejected to indicate whether or not the IRS had even started processing it?    If the TurboTax Tax Home has been using the actual word "pending" for 5 weeks, that's grossly abnormal in light of the normal 24-48 hours for most people to change from "pending" to accepted or rejected.

NOTE:  At the TurboTax Tax Home, or in emails you received, the terms "pending", "accepted", and "rejected" can sometimes be confusing.  Those are efile terms that refer ONLY to the efile status; i.e., they indicate whether or not the IRS agreed to begin processing it or not, and has nothing to do with any merits of the return or whether the return is ultimately approved by the IRS.

Or is it this?

When the IRS has accepted a return for processing, the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool initially uses the term "return received",  then after processing "refund approved", and then finally "refund sent."   If your question is actually not referring to the Tax Home efile status, but is referring to something you are seeing at the IRS WMR tool, please state the exact message seen there (but no personal info in this public forum) :

If your TurboTax Tax Home still says the efile status is "pending", here's how to phone TurboTax Support to see if the return was actually efiled.
