@gr8day2play When I come across this question on the forum, the answer I provide is correct at the time of posting -
To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
There is no "Federal Taxes" tab to click on! Your instructions do not work.

The instructions work just fine if you are using the TurboTax desktop editions -
To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
If you are using the TurboTax online web-based editions instead -
To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN
Click on Federal on the left side of the online program screen
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
To enter your IP PIN in TurboTax, you can search for IP PIN and use the Jump to link, @formerprof . Or you can go to Other Tax Situations, which will be under
Personal or Federal (up top or left side panel) >>> Other Tax Situations >>> Other Return Info >>> Identity Protection PIN , depending on your version.

@formerprof If you have the Desktop Home & Business program the Federal tab is broken out into Business and Personal. So when you see to go to "Federal" you go to Personal.
There is no reason to make it so hard to find for those of us who basically do our own returns. And the "help" is no help.
Thanks for this clarification. I didn’t realize that the Home and Business version, which I use as a self-employed business person, doesn’t have a Federal tab like other versions, but instead has a Personal tab. Having it that way has created an immense amount of confusion and wasted time for me. I have documented this process for next year, assuming I decide to use TurboTax.
I've been searching for days trying to put my new ip pin in my taxes and I still haven't figured it out yet, it says to go to Federal, where is that, then other tax situations where is that ,then other return info , where is this stuff located

It's hard to help someone without knowing exactly what product you are using. So first, please state exactly what product you are using (Online or desktop) and if desktop, what edition (Deluxe, Premier, Home and Business, etc). NOTE: Home and Business edition does not have a Federal tab--it has a Personal tab (more info below.)
If you are using desktop software, the navigation tabs are spread horizontally across the top. If you are using Online TurboTax, the navigation tabs are oriented vertically in the left-column menu.
Are you by any chance using the Home and Business edition of the desktop software? If so, it does not have a Federal tab. Instead it has a Personal tab. If that's the product you are using see this:
For the desktop software:
If you are not using desktop software but using Online TurboTax (web browser version), report back for different instructions.
In any case, if you still can't find it, report back and tell us exactly what product you are using, and I'll make you some screenshots. Please state whether it's an Online or desktop product, and if desktop, what edition. There are also some screenshots higher up in this thread that might help you depending on what product you are using. Did you look at those?
Tried your solution on TurboTax Premier 2024. I keep getting "We recommend you revisit the last topic you were working on to make sure all of your info's correct."
Pressing OK sends me back to the Other Tax Situations menu.
I cannot find a form with a field to manually add the IP pin.

Several users are having that issue with the IP PIN section tonight.
If you are using desktop software, you can also enter the 6-digit IP PIN in Forms Mode on the Federal Information Worksheet, Part VII. Go to Forms Mode, and in the left column forms list choose "Info Wks". That should be the Federal Information Worksheet. Scroll down to Part VII, and the IP PIN should be the first item in that part of the worksheet. Please report back if that worked for you.
I tried to follow the suggestions from more than one respondent to enter my IP PIN and was getting frustrated. I was finally able to enter it by going to Forms, the from the list of forms I selected Info Worksheet (Federal Information Worksheet) then I scrolled down past Part VII to the Identity Protection PIN section. On the right hand side there are two boxes to enter the IP PIN for the filer and the spouse. Very simple once I found the right place.
I realize now that I posted my comments I should have added that I am using the Turbo Tax Home and Business version.
The Home & Business Desktop program does not have a Federal tab. It splits out Federal into 2 tabs Business and Personal. So whenever you see to go to Federal you go to Personal.
The 6-digit Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) is different from the 5-digit e-filing PIN, and is entered in a different place. Here's how to enter your IP PIN in TurboTax if you are e-filing.
