i never had to get a wealth scape investor id before to have my fidelity info transmitted, i used the payee's fed id number . why the change - i really don't care to share my financials with yet another unknown company
This issue (Wealthscape investor ID) has come up in prior years as well. Contact your brokerage if you need assistance with how to identify the company for importing.
If your financial institution is a TurboTax 1099 Import Partner, you'll likely be able to import your 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-OID, 1099-R, 1099-NEC, and 1099-MISC (without entries in boxes 8 or 10) by January 31, 2025. And you'll likely be able to import your 1099-B and 1099-MISC (with entries in boxes 8 or 10) by February 15, 2025. If your brokerage issues a consolidated tax statement with several types of 1099s, which is common, you might not be able to import any of your 1099s until February 15, 2025.

If you are trying to import investment information into TurboTax, and you cannot find your financial institution in the list of partners, then you will need to enter the information by typing it in yourself instead of importing it. Importing the documents is not required.
If you are using TurboTax Online, click the box that says Change how I enter my form. Then, on the next screen click I'll type it in myself.
If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, you can select I'll type it in myself.
Wrong answer. Using National Financial Services to import PNC Investments in TurboTax takes you to a Wealthscape login page. I do not have a Wealthscape login. I have a PNC Investment login. What's the deal?
If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.

I had the same problem, very frustrating. My Fidelity reports list National Financial Services as the payer.
DON'T use National Financial Services when trying to import your data into Turbotax. They will ask for a "Wealth Scape ID".
Instead select Fidelity from the list. Then it will allow you to sign onto your fidelity account directly.
Thanks for the reply. I couldn’t find the right PNC in the TurboTax list so I finally just printed the 1099s and entered by hand.
