Where do I have to input the assigned IP PIN on Turbo Tax?

To enter your IRS IP PIN:

  • Once in your return, type "IP PIN" or "ip pin" (2 words) in search box on blue dashboard
  • Click the blue  "Jump to IP Pin" link in the search results.
  • TurboTax will take you to the Identity Protection PIN screen. Click radio button to left of Yes, at least one of us got an IP PIN.

Where do I have to input the assigned IP PIN on Turbo Tax?

1. open your tax file or the one you are working on.
2. Go to section/Tab "Personal".
3. Under "Personal" look for the tab that says "Other Tax Situations".
4. Go about 5 items down (this can change depending on the year). look for the option that reads "Other Return Info".
5. You will see there is the option that says "Identity protection PIN" (IP PIN).
6. Click on "Start" or "Update".

Follow the steps, and you're set to go.

Thanks for the precise answer.  Seems a bit hidden but Turbo Tax is not perfect.
