TurboTax will complete the 8949 for you when you enter the 1099-B. The 8949 is a calculated form that reports sales and exchanges of capital assets.
Form 8949 allows you and the IRS to reconcile amounts that were reported to you and the IRS on Forms 1099-B or 1099-S (or substitute statements) with the amounts you report on your tax return.
If you pay for your copy of TurboTax you will have all of the forms available to view. You don't have to file right away. You can file when you're ready.
look for the TurboTax prompt "I don't have a 1099-B".
