If you paid the handyman for work on a rental property, you can deduct the fees under Repairs unless the repairs were extensive enough to qualify as a capital improvement, in which case you would depreciate them. See the screenshot below.
If you paid the handyman for work on your personal residence, you can't claim a deduction.
