The form 5498-SA is not entered in TurboTax.
If any of your contributions were made by your employer or by you through a payroll deduction plan, then this appeared on your W-2 in box 12 with a code of "W".
If you had any contributions made to the HSA plan administrator directly (outside your employer), then you enter these in the HSA interview.
If you sent the money directly to the HSA plan administrator, then do the following:
- Go to the HSA interview (Federal Taxes->Deductions & Credits->Medical, click on "HSA MSA Contributions")
- Proceed to the screen entitled "Let's enter [your name] HSA contributions" (see screenshot below).
- Enter your contribution on the second line.
- Be sure to finish the HSA interview (i.e., go until you are returned to the Your Tax Breaks screen)
However, if you made the contribution through your employer, once you enter the code W amount on your W-2, then you are finished. TurboTax will handle the rest.
