You do not have to file Form 1095-C with the IRS, or enter it into TurboTax - there is no filing requirement for this particular form, or need to enter it in TurboTax - just retain it for your records.
Please note that not all 1095 tax forms get reported to the IRS:
How to put in 1095c
So why does Turbotax say on their site the following.
(I was trying to enter that on their site, but i only got prompted for 1095-A)
When the 1095-C must go out
Sending out 1095-C forms became mandatory starting with the 2015 tax year. Employers send the forms not only to their eligible employees but also to the IRS. Employees are supposed to receive them by the end of January—so forms for 2019 would be sent in January 2020.
Employers have until the end of February to send them to the IRS if filing paper forms, or until the end of March if filing electronically. Employers with 250 or more forms must file them electronically. Those with fewer than 250 have the option of filing paper forms or filing electronically.
Thank you
YOU ARE SO GOLDEN. THANK YOUUU
Thanks, just the information I needed.
What if your employer only sent you the 1095-c and no w2 what do you do?
Were you paid any Wages by your employer? Or only health insurance was provided?
As noted above, you don't enter the 1095-C into TurboTax, so the question is did you have any income and have to file a tax return...
I have a 1095c form how could I apply online for taxes
The 1095 C is not reported on your tax return any longer. Any health insurance amounts that apply to the 1095-C are reported on your W-2.
If you received a 1095-A, that information needs to be reported.
