When will the updated tax forms be ready so I can continue with my state e-file?

Depends on the state and what form you have.

Many states forms are supposed to be ready to e-file today, 26 Jan...but all kinds of people find they cannot file today yet:

Don't beat yoru head against the wall.

Just wait until the 27th to try again, and avoid the initial crush.

Who knows, maybe the software team for yoru state couldn't get it done on time.....there's always next week
