When will the form updates be complete. I cannot use turbotax at this time

Which forms are you referring to?

The Form 1099-R section was updated last night. 01/21/2026, for the online editions.  If you are not seeing this on your account, clear cache and cookies on your web browser.

The Form 1099-R section was updated this morning, 01/22/2026, for the desktop editions.  Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen.  Click on Check for Updates.

To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button

check this page for availability. It's only an estimate. Some will be available sooner. Others later. make sure you  select your version at the top

Are you referring to issuing a 1099-NEC? This is already available in the Business software.

I purchased TurboTax Home & Business 2025 and it still gives me a message that the 1099-NEC is not available.

@RobinConly - Because it took the IRS longer than usual to ready all of the forms due to the large number of tax law changes, it is taking longer to ready each section of the software. 

As shown in your screenshot, you do have the option to sign up to be notified by TurboTax via email when the section will be ready for your entries.
