Does the same logic apply for Ira withdrawal in 2020? I paid the full amount on last years return. I wouldn’t need any forms correct?
Yes, you are correct. If you reported the full distribution on your 2020 tax return then you do not need Form 8915-F and you should answer 'No' to the question 'Have you ever taken a disaster distribution before 2021?'
Q4. What is a coronavirus-related distribution?
A4. A coronavirus-related distribution is a distribution that is made from an eligible retirement plan to a qualified individual from January 1, 2020, to December 30, 2020, up to an aggregate limit of $100,000 from all plans and IRAs.

I'm so ready to just file and amend later. My financial aid needs done.
@Stoney09You don't need to file taxes to do FAFSA, you can amend your FAFSA late. Filing incorrect taxes with intent to correct them later is against IRS rules.
File your FAFSA now, send in your estimated taxes now, file an extension to your taxes. Do your taxes correctly, once. Update your FAFSA
@EbonyL122824 Your link still says 03/31/2022? But, glad to hear it will be available early!
Regarding the message that the 8915F will be available for efile on 3/3/22. The info in the link still indicates 3/31/22 availability and today is 3/4/22 and there is no 8915F available as yet. Was your message a typo?
@EbonyL122824 Sorry. Today is 3/3, not 3/4. Got ahead of myself. I downloaded the update early and the form isn't available still.
@Stoney09 "You cannot go to jail for making a mistake or filing your tax return incorrectly. However, if your taxes are wrong by design and you intentionally leave off items that should be included, the IRS can look at that action as fraudulent, and a criminal suit can be instituted against you."
Same for me. I ran the updates today and it is still saying that update has not been included and I have to wait.
@EbonyL122824 --Is your information accurate? I just called TurboTax and they are still saying 3/31/22.
@EbonyL122824 Which Form...???!!!
8915 F
