When they say check will be mailed by a certain date, do they mean on that exact date it will be mailed or that it should already be mailed by that date?

Ok mine says Mailed on June 10th. Not “mailed by” . Does that mea. They actually sent the check June 10th? Or is that like seeing “mailed by” , an estimated date. It shows on WMR “the balance of your refund ****.** was mailed on June 10th”

Splitting hairs as to the exact moment the envelope went into the mailbox is not helpful.   You know the refund is on its way if the IRS site says so.   It will come by first class mail without tracking.   There are variations in the speed with which the mail is sorted and delivered by  postal workers and your own mailman.   Just watch your mailbox and do not throw away any mail without opening it first to make sure it is not junk mail.
