Did you try to efile the two returns at the same time, or did you efile the Federal return separately by itself before you attempted to efile the MN return? If you efiled the Federal return by itself first, you cannot efile the MN return until the Federal return has been accepted by the IRS. If that's your situation, be aware that the IRS opens up to process most efiled returns on January 27. The IRS pulls a few Federal returns for processing prior to that date for testing purposes.
I tried doing it together at first and it wouldn't and so I got my other state one and federal done then went back in to file mn and it kept giving me issues. So ty.
Once your Federal return has been accepted, and before you try once again to efile the MN return, go back through the REVIEW section again to be sure it's not finding any errors. There could be something else wrong with the state return that caused it to fail in the first place.
I already did that and checked both the federal and state info to make sure it was accurate.
Thursdays are the usual day that TurboTax updates its software, so if it's some kind of program snag or perhaps a delayed form availability, maybe it will be corrected in today's update. But even so, you'll have a roadblock re: efiling until the Federal is accepted. Good luck.
According to the Forms Availability Table at the link below, the Minnesota forms are now showing as unavailable for print or efile until 1/30/2025. So for some reason the MN forms have reverted from available to not yet available.
