It a Corp . that handles pension retirement  payments for many firms.  My firm just started using them as well.

Home office says it saves money . How can it save money when you use and pay a out side firm  to do what you did in house?

My turbo tax return is saying I have the wrong zip code for state street retiree services on my refund app.  The 1099r says 02206 for the Boston Ma address.

I did.  The zip is on the 1099 but turbo tax says it is wrong.

I just tested this and I didn't get an error. Try reviewing the state abbreviation and zip code in the 1099-R section. 

One thing I noticed is that when you enter MA, the program defaults to Maine, so make sure it says Massachusetts. Also be sure to type 02206, not just 2206.

To review your 1099-R form:

1. Open your return and make sure you are in the Federal section.
2. Select Income from the upper left.
3. Find IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), on the list, click Start or Review to the right. 
4. Click Edit to the right of your 1099-R entry.
5. Continue until you get to the screen Enter your 1099-R details from State Street.
6. Check the zip code and state abbreviation here.
