What is a QMID when inserting window costs

The Qualified Manufacturer IDentification Number is required for filing the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (Form 5695).

It's a 4-digit number.
To find the QMID:
- Check the paperwork provided with your equipment for a "Manufacturer Certification Statement".
- It may be listed on the invoice provided by your contractor.
- The code may be listed on the Manufacturers website.
- You can also check Find Qualified Manufacturer ID codes for IRS Form 5695.
- If you cannot find the code, contact the manufacturer directly.
