What information could I have entered that the Free Edition does not cover but the Deluxe does??

I want to know what information that I could've added that free edition didn't cover so I was forced to upgrade to the Deluxe.  I needed to add a 1099-MISC and it said I needed to update to proceed.

The Free Edition covers W-2 income and supports 1040EZ and 1040A returns. If your income only came from wages, Social Security, or interest and you don't have many (or any) deductions, you would be able to use TurboTax Free Edition.

Since you have 1099-MISC income, the next higher product version of TurboTax is Deluxe which generates the tax form to report that income.
